Minor GridFox update
Monday, June 29th, 2009In 2007, Brandon Turner and I created a Firefox Add On called GridFox, which helps you verify your website’s grid-based design.
Since its creation, its easily been the most trafficked page on this site. To the right are some pageview stats from last week.
The extension has remained unchanged for 2 years, but these pageview stats have finally made me feel guilty enough to give it some love. I began development on version 2 of GridFox last week, but quickly realized there were a couple simple updates I could release now.
Change log for GridFox 1.2
- Moved extension to addons.mozilla.org (this let’s me automatically send out updates for future versions)
- Added “Hide Grid” button
- Updated compatibility to Firefox 3.5
- Changed Opacity to slider control
- Added hotkey to toggle grid (WIN:alt+ctrl+g, OSX: opt+cmd+g)
- Upgraded to a new, shinier icon
