The calendar on the Lowdown features upcoming events in the Lansing area. Because events are prone to change, we chose to focus on short-term entertainment. We wanted to show our users what was going on this weekend, not help them plan for a concert 6 months down the road. The design supports the idea of immediacy and helped to make this section one of the most popular on the Lowdown.
